Town challenging 2,016 families to take Healthy Kids Ajax pledge

On February 8, Ajax Council, community partners and grade four and five students from Romeo Dallaire Public School officially launched the Healthy Kids Community Challenge.

The Town of Ajax is receiving up to $825,000 from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care over three years to fund the Healthy Kids Community Challenge. The program is being delivered in 45 communities across Ontario and promotes physical activity and healthy eating to children 12 years and under and their families.

To kick off the Healthy Kids Community Challenge, the Town is calling on Ajax families to have an active and healthy 2016 and take the Healthy Kids Ajax pledge.

Residents can explore the new Healthy Kids Ajax interactive web portal and information hub (www.healthykidsajax.ca) to take the pledge, sign-up for updates, download resources and more.
